About Us - The Team

Hot Chocolates is a labor of love for co-owners Becky Henry and Lori Thomas that began in 2002. The two became fast friends almost from the moment they met, and their vibrant personalities blended to become the driving force behind Hot Chocolates delicious creations.

Lori Thomas started decorating cakes and making candy while attending the University of North Texas. She's spent several years honing her skills as a baker, cake decorator, and candy maker. Being one of the owners of Hot Chocolates has given Lori the opportunity to fully realize her passion for tasty creations with the launch of Hot Chocolates.

Becky Henry has an extensive background in the hospitality industry, which includes a degree in restaurant, hotel, and institutional management from Texas Tech University. In addition to her academic achievements, Becky has working knowledge and experience in every facet of the food and beverage industry.

Together the ladies of Hot Chocolates have taken the community of Hurst by storm with their entrepreneurial skills, garnering them the prestigious Hurst Pride in Business Award for Marketing Success. They strive to give back to the community that's shown them so much support by sponsoring local schools and by donating their services to several non-profit organizations.
