August 2 Close at 1:00 pm for Handcrafted Chocolate Truffles Class
Class 2:00 - 4:00 pm, $45 per person. Gluten Free upon request at no additional charge.
Ages 13 & up. Ah, the elusive truffle. Is it a mushroom, is it a chocolate? We will demystify this decadent treat and give you the know-how to make them yourself. You will take home your chocolate creations, but it's up to you whether or not to share them! Light refreshments provided.

Spend the afternoon with us and learn key elements and the questions to ask to plan your wedding. Hear from wedding experts in the following fields: Cakes, Entertainment, Flowers, Invitations, Officiant, Photography, Rentals, Venue selection, Videography, and Wedding Consulting. Each expert will present you with planning advice sure to arm you with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions in your wedding planning.

How much do the classes cost?
Class prices vary and are listed in each class description. All prices listed are per person unless otherwise noted.
Do I have to register in advance or can I just show up?
All classes require advanced registration with full payment at time of registration.
How do I register?
Call 817-282-9400 or come in store to register. Payment (cash, check or credit card) is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Class registrations are taken on a first-come, first served basis. Once a class is full, you will be added to a waiting list.
Do you offer Gluten Free Classes?
Some of our classes are already gluten free while most others can be adjusted to accomodate gluten free requests for an additional $10 fee.
Who teaches your classes?
Classes are taught by our resident experts. Co-Owners Lori Thomas and Becky Henry have been baking and decorating cakes and handcrafting chocolates for a combined 30+ years. Yikes, that makes us sound older than we feel! Pastry Chef Molly Grant has been on staff for over five years since earning her Certificate in Patisserie and Baking from Texas Culinary Academy, a Le Cordon Bleu School. Occasionally we bring in outside experts to offer you a wide range of expertise.
What are your classes like?
Most classes are hands-on (noted with a ). Hands-on classes will typically involve working with a small group as well as independent work. Other classes are demonstrations or tasting classes.
Are there age restrictions on the classes?
General classes are for age 13 and older. BYOB classes are for adults ages 21 and older.
How big are the classes?
Class size maximum is 10 students so you are guaranteed a personal experience!
Do you have a waiting list for sold out classes?
Yes, waiting lists are maintained for sold out classes. Please call to have your name added to the waiting list. You will be notified if a space becomes available.
I registered for a class but I can’t make it- what do I do?
Classes are non-refundable. Call 817-282-9400; change requests are NOT accepted by email. We are happy to honor a request for credit towards an future class or a transfer to another class as long as it is made no less than 5 days prior to the class (the Tuesday before a Saturday class). You may send a substitute if you cannot attend; please call to notify us of the change. NO SHOWS WILL NOT RECEIVE A CREDIT.
What do I wear to class?
Most classes are hands-on in the kitchen (noted with a ), therefore closed-toe shoes and kitchen-safe clothing are required; aprons are provided. Participants are asked to sign a waiver before classes begin and Hot Chocolates, Ltd. Co. will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage to students.
What is your cancellation/bad weather policy?
We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason in which case a full credit towards another class will be given; we will notify you by phone no later than 2 hours prior to the class. In the case of bad weather, we will make a determination no later than 2 hours prior to the class and will notify you by phone.
How do I book a private class?
To book a private event or class, please call 817-282-9400. All classes and events are after our normal business hours. Our class minimum is 4 and maximum is 10 guests for on-site classes. If you book a party and less than 4 people attend, then the party host has to pay the difference for the 4-person minimum. For larger events, you provide the location and we'll bring the class! (Additional fees apply for off-site classes).
What is your policy on drinking wine or beer during class?
Most classes are for ages 13 & up and alcohol is prohibited, however, certain classes are designated for ages 21 & up/BYOB and you may bring your own beer or wine. We will provide plastic drinking cups and a corkscrew upon advanced request.
Do you ever change the published class menu?
Menus are subject to change due to the seasonality of some ingredients.
